Programs and Projects

LAMP Pakistan is supporting and facilitating thousands of poor and marginalized families, especially those affected by natural disasters in 2010, 2011, and 2012 irrespective of caste, creed, gender or ethnicity. Emergency Response, Rehabilitation and development work is being carried out in different parts of Sindh (Pakistan) through Social Development Program

1. Capacity Building of Peoples and Organizations

From the very inception of LAMP Pakistan Capacity Building program remained the focus in all the projects. Along with the rural communities LAMP Pakistan also strives to build the capacity of its staff, local organization, Bible schools and Young leaders. With the belief that Better trained people means a more effective response to humanitarian needs . The Capacity Building of people and organization Program works to improve the recruitment, retention, development, and deployment of skilled and experienced people by ensuring that they receive trainings on how to manage teams and programs, to lead staff in difficult and stressful contexts, and to support non-humanitarian staff with core humanitarian skills. LAMP Pakistan has made its Punjab chapter operational to work in the direction of capacity Building of people and organization.

2. Child Focused Community Development Program:

LAMP Pakistan has unique working style with local communities for the biggest challenge of the current years, LAMP mobilize community for local community schools with self help basis, and little support. LAMP works on Child Protection, Child Rights, Basic Health & Nutrition and primary schooling for disadvantaged and less privileged children. Quality education is the centre of the challenges we face in the 21st century. Health, environment, security and prosperity all are linked by education

3. Livelihood, Food Security & Environment Conservation Program:

LAMP facilitates communities for the livelihoods and food security, and initiates environment conservation within available natural & local resources in collaboration with local communities. Our approach is to resolve problem, to identify and address the root cause of hunger,  production, access and to enhance the income with indigenous knowledge & experience for sustainable solutions

4. Emergency Response and Early Recovery Program:

LAMP promotes Disaster Risk Reduction Techniques within local resources. Pakistan is vulnerable to disaster risks therefore LAMP Pakistan conducts relief work where it is needed, our emergency response is based on the needs of the affected population through a framework of saving lives, protecting & supporting livelihoods and strengthening local communities through capacity building programs.

5. Water Sanitation, Health & Hygiene Awareness

LAMP Pakistan is contributing towards worldwide goal “With safe water and sanitation, simple taps and toilets, we can help save 2.4 million lives a year”, helping communities to adopt Community Led Total Sanitation approach.

6. Sustainable Agriculture Program (2013-2014)

Enabling less Privileged Farming communities to learn sustainable agriculture solution through practicing a natural resource management approach through on-farm agriculture activities that empower people to become self-sufficient, echo friendly and fight climate changes.

7. Integrated Community Development Program (ICDP) 2015 – on going

Under privileged rural and urban slums Christian communities to attain sustainable solutions for the basic needs in Livelihood, Environmental protection, Education, WASH, Child protection and Child Rights through integrated approach of community development.

8. Strengthening Self Help Group (SSHG) 2017

Improving socio-economic status by small business plans and Health well being of communities by promoting sanitation and hygiene in District Tharparkar.

9. Towards Peace & Harmony (TPH) 2017

LAMP Pakistan implemented four activities (TOT Training, Theatre Performance, Art & Craft Exhibition and Folk Music program) in different areas of district Jamshoro and Tando Allah Yar, Almost 702 people have get benefit from these activities, the different religions were involve in all the activities.

11. Community Development through Feeding Program (CDFP)

LAMP Pakistan is supporting Two hundred families by Providing Monthly food packages. The project has been started October 2017 and now it is in process, selected different districts of Sindh like Sanghar, Matli, Mirpurkhas, TandoAllahyar, Tandojam, Jamshoro and Hyderabad. Our Criteria of selection families deserving, poor, orphan, widow, big family members, low of income. Our aim is to help needy People so that they can save their monthly income and improve their living standard and fulfill their basic needs.

12. Sustainable Livelihood Enhancement of 450 Women Tharparkar 2015 to 2016

This is the unique project implemented exclusively for women to improve the socio-economic status of 450 rural women belonging to two Union Councils (UC’s) i.e. Bolhari and Kaloi of Taluka Diplo, District Tharparkar through livestock management training and provision of goats and chicken for rearing. Women got the opportunity to learn on Livestock Management training, health and hygiene and mother and child care, vaccination and Importance of breast feeding have also been highlighted to women. As goats and other inputs have been given to each household because of women so women think that it up lift their position in the family. As because of live-stock assistance their livelihood has improved.

13. Low cost one Room Shelter – II (LCORS-II)

To support 650 families of District Jacobabad, UC Mubarakpur for rehabilitation of shelter using affordable, adoptable &culturally acceptable vernacular DRR practices and capacity building techniques.
